Ugh. Midterms started last Thursday and I've already taken my Chinese, Algebra, and English exams. Tomorrow I have French and Civics, then on Tuesday I have Chemistry. I hate studying for these and I get so bored that I end up procrastinating (not good!). I wish I could find already made flashcards in Quizlet but I haven't found any yet. I put up Cold Turkey (a program that blocks your computer's access to certain websites and programs until a specified time) but I still seem to find other ways to procrastinate. ARG! I can't wait until these are over...

Costumes and such...
So. During September I took a month off from blogging, but now I'm back! Woot woot! I've been so busy with school that I just haven't had any time!
I know that Halloween is 30 days away but I'm trying to decide now what I want to be (I'm going to a party, apparently I'm too old to trick-or-treat :-( ) I'm thinking of going as someone from the '70s (see below)... thoughts?

30 Book Challenge: Day Twenty-Seven
"The most surprising plot twist or ending"
Moon Over Manifest by Clare Vanderpool
This is definitely one of my favorite books of all time. It's about Aibelene Tucker's journey to discover the present, but only by searching through the past. It's absolutely fabulous and I don't care who you are, you need to go out and read this book! Plus, you're in for a surprise at the end (I don't want to give too much away...)! ;-)

Bienvenue!
Good evening fellow citizens of the world and welcome to my blog! As this being my first post, I should let you learn about my blog and me. First off, I'm not a professional blogger because (not to offend anyone) I feel like there are better things to do with my time. I merely created this as a fun way to express my thoughts and ideas.
My Blog
There isn't exactly a theme to this blog besides me just posting what I feel: whether it be music, books, environmental issues, politics, poetry, art, or whatever I feel at that moment. Feel free to comment on my posts, however take in consideration that I am a human being with feelings and I'm not out to do anyone any harm. :)
Me
I have a deep adoration for everything art, environment, and travel. I love to paint, draw, sculpt, write, read, work in my garden, play with my chickens & cats, travel, spend time outside, explore, swim, bike, and create things. I'm a proud vegetarian and socialist and I am a strong believer in fair rights for all. I'm a bit of an introvert but that's only because I feel I can learn more from traveling and exploring the outdoors than I can from socializing with fellow people at my school (not in all cases, of course).

Ten Weird Things About Me:
- I have 6 chickens: Daisy, Penelope (Penny), Prudence, Dhara, Advika, and Charlotte.
- I love to learn. I actually enjoy being in school and getting an education (to a certain extent).
- My life goal is do something worthy of achieving the Nobel Peace Prize.
- I love history, especially the 20th century.
- I have a slight obsession with the Beatles. Well, major obsession.
- I can currently speak French, Chinese, Spanish, and English (enough to get me by, although English is my first language) and am learning Swedish and American Sign Language.
- When in the rare event that I watch television or movies, I enjoy movies from the 1900s-1990s as well as foreign films and I love the TV shows b.Organic, the Big Bang Theory, and New Girl.
- I have solar panels. :)
- I'd like to say I'm a hippie (however I never have and never will do drugs).
- I love birds. All kinds. I especially love drawing them.
Stay tuned! :)
