Yay!
I've been a vegan for seventeen days! I'm proud of myself and although it's difficult at times, I've managed to keep it up and I hope to be a vegan for the rest of my life! Every now and again I make mistakes (I've eaten an English muffin that contained honey and I ate a piece of toast that had butter on it) but I'm not giving up. I feel happy and healthy and I'm so glad I've made the change to veganism. :)

Future Plans... #1
Although I'm not in any hurry to grow up, I do think about how I want my future to develop. Here are my plans, as of now (though knowing me, who knows how long they'll stay like this...)
College
I've had my hopes set on attending Tufts University since I was in fifth grade. If I don't get into Tufts (it's become such a competitive school, who knows) then I want to go to college in Europe (perhaps England, France, Sweden, or Ireland).
After College
Before I settle down with a career, I want to travel the world. Maybe I'll help provide comfortable living situations for people in Africa or India, visit China, or explore Europe (I really want to backpack around the continent). Who knows. I just don't want to settle down just yet, I'll still be young and I want to take advantage of it.
Settling Down
I'm not sure what I want to do with my life, although I'd like it to involve art and/or the environment and provide comfortable living situations for my future family. (I want three kids, one of whom would be adopted) I want to live in France for a few years, have my kids there so they can be French citizens, then I want to move to Vermont and live on a farm.
Retirement
I want to do yoga with my old hippie friends and future husband on a regular basis, as well as hikes, maintaining our farm, and carrying out productive, active lifestyles that help others in need as well as our own.

Bienvenue!
Good evening fellow citizens of the world and welcome to my blog! As this being my first post, I should let you learn about my blog and me. First off, I'm not a professional blogger because (not to offend anyone) I feel like there are better things to do with my time. I merely created this as a fun way to express my thoughts and ideas.
My Blog
There isn't exactly a theme to this blog besides me just posting what I feel: whether it be music, books, environmental issues, politics, poetry, art, or whatever I feel at that moment. Feel free to comment on my posts, however take in consideration that I am a human being with feelings and I'm not out to do anyone any harm. :)
Me
I have a deep adoration for everything art, environment, and travel. I love to paint, draw, sculpt, write, read, work in my garden, play with my chickens & cats, travel, spend time outside, explore, swim, bike, and create things. I'm a proud vegetarian and socialist and I am a strong believer in fair rights for all. I'm a bit of an introvert but that's only because I feel I can learn more from traveling and exploring the outdoors than I can from socializing with fellow people at my school (not in all cases, of course).

Ten Weird Things About Me:
- I have 6 chickens: Daisy, Penelope (Penny), Prudence, Dhara, Advika, and Charlotte.
- I love to learn. I actually enjoy being in school and getting an education (to a certain extent).
- My life goal is do something worthy of achieving the Nobel Peace Prize.
- I love history, especially the 20th century.
- I have a slight obsession with the Beatles. Well, major obsession.
- I can currently speak French, Chinese, Spanish, and English (enough to get me by, although English is my first language) and am learning Swedish and American Sign Language.
- When in the rare event that I watch television or movies, I enjoy movies from the 1900s-1990s as well as foreign films and I love the TV shows b.Organic, the Big Bang Theory, and New Girl.
- I have solar panels. :)
- I'd like to say I'm a hippie (however I never have and never will do drugs).
- I love birds. All kinds. I especially love drawing them.
Stay tuned! :)
